From one point, your statement is VERY TRUE.
From other point, if STS makes crafting slot tradeable for eg.: 15 plat, the game makers will get more money from plat users and non-plat users will benefit as well.
The very exclusivity of this game is the economy/trading system behind it.
(If I were STS, I would even strengthen this.)
For GOOD economy "we" need many participants.
What would do a platinum player if nobody would buy his/her looted goodies from Lockeds?
We need "anybody" - while those who really pay for the game and thus support STS can get these new things easier easier/faster.

Its AA is also the same, the stats are not needed, and there are obviously more better and cheaper pets to be placed with the AA and Happines Bonus.
In my opinion, they could have done better. Especially with the Passive, they kept emphasizing that its the best passive pet. But an increase or additive passive skill would be perfect as a Heroic.
This felt like a scam in my opinion, 1,750 plat for basically another vanity pet is low. But people still buy them as they look wanted that new green recolored aura.

no the stats are not exactly the same, look (i use a lvl 62 grimm, i didnt find a ss with a max one)
But i agree the passive should be boost a little and the AA cooldown should be shorten, Thank you very much
Since this update i cant walk out of range of disco music in guildhall anymore. If this is drawback from chaning the 'zoning' in guildhall to get an accurate description of furniture count, it isnt worth it.
this pet AA is not good.... passive needs a bufff..... I have wasted my Plat on it too..

Thats not realy true, there is a reason why games are made F2P and why microtransactions are enabled to get extras. Extaras like pets/vanities does not affect players much because the game provides free alternatives/variety respectively.
Crafting slots creates inequality on a big scale. It not only affects free players but paid as well; for eg.: its an unfair advantage if I can only pay for 10 slots and others for 25, and the advantage sticks for every event: This is called Pay2Win.
#Solution: Make a tradable version that players can purchase with gold.
Get the economics right
I forgot to mention: Loved the Heroic Grimm, bought one for myself and its my main pet now
