Easter Egg by Noob Fid:

Ancient Mariner Reef's name is similar to a poem which is called "The Rime of the Ancient Mariner" by Samuel Coleridge, and the ghost pirates fit pretty well with the poem's story. I won't spoil it more than this, but if you're into this stuff then it's worth a read.
