Crate key sale?

Is this sale fake? Every time I go to buy keys it says sold out and one time I wait in store for 30 minutes, it gets to the last second and it just adds 2 hours to the time and stays the same. (Sold out)
So whats the point of this? Me spend 400$ on plat to not use it on keys. I am confused, explain this to me.
