Warrior Ebon Aegis - Bug or normal?

Hey

Been hearing that the ebon aegis has been doing insane dmg to bosses in mausoleum and the festerfang maps/elites. Warriors remove their helm/armor/belt to reduce their armor. Thereby causing the proc of the aegis to do insane dmg as they are receiving more damage. Seems like a bug or the powercurve is off.
