Please Fix Gold Letter Drop rate
This is the leftover golden letters from last year and I dont know why V and E are so rare.
L = 23
0 = 40
V = 11
E = 0
I know you said they have the same chances before but these letters need a buff in drop rate. I am having same problem again.

The drop rate is fine in my opinion. Its the consistently of different letters that is the issue. If its designed that way, at least we could use a developers input on it.Originally Posted by Ipooponfifteens

I will work on confirmation of this, but as far as I know, drop rates are the same for all letters. I’ll let you know if I find out anything different!
Sorry Rem that is not the case at all. We had same problem last year and i remember lots of people complaining and I remember STS saying they were going to even out the drops. I finished last year with 15 V's and 11 L's. I have been farming lots of golden letters since the new Lovecraft Event. Yesterday I counted as I opened 30 golden chests and got 3 O's, 15 V's, 8 L's and 4 E's. That's 1 in 10 chance to get this O golden letter. All the gold chests I opened have been like this. 50 % of all chests give me a V's. I currently have in my inventory 20 V's, 14 L's, 6 E's and zero O's. This is so frustrating. Please buff the O and E's and tune back the V's and L's. Thank you! Please STS look into this.

Okay, I opened another 31 golden chests, got 2 O's. That is 1 Golden O in 15 chests. My inventory now is 31 V's, 20 L's and 19 E's. There really needs to be an adjustment on the Golden O's. This is ridiculous, it's where I don't want to farm these letters because the balance is so off. Please help us.
Rem, you said you would check on this but there has been no reply. I am struggling to craft my letters and now my golden letter inventory is L=14, O=zero, V=26, E=18. It seems that the formula is meant to give way more of one letter and very little of another one. This really needs some attention from STS to correct the balance. They need to be balanced to make us want to farm golden letters. We can't buy these in cs either. Very frustrating. Appreciate any help you can give us on this.

I think it's working as intended and same as last yr. First few days I had issue with V's but now I have issue on the drop rate of L's . It is all based on large numbers
Intended to drive us crazy you mean? Why make it so hard on us to not give us the elusive letter of choice. The L's are getting less for me too. Mostly V's and E's are all I'm getting and almost zero O's. It was wrong last year and it needs to be corrected.
Basically, everyone has one letter that will just not drop. I have an even distribution of L, O, V. But the Letter E has about the same drop rate as ebons for me.

Hey Rem, have you checked on this yet? You said you thought the golden candy chests were all balanced with all 4 letters but this is obviously not the case if you read from others here. I now have over 30 V's to my Zero O and over 20 of E's and some L's. It seems that STS doesn't want us to craft our own letters. I'm surprised they didn't add love letters to the vendor to sell for plat. There is still a week to go and this could be adjusted. Thanks for talking to STS about this if you can.

So i gave this matter some thinking, and here is what i came up with.
I think the RNG machine that STS is using for the drop rates of the gold letters actually has the same drop rates over the letters. 25%-25%-25%-25%. People seem to have problems with different letters, someone may have 20 "E" and zero "V", meanwhile someone else is having 20 "V" and zero "E". So if any letter had 30% and another 20% everyone would have the same deficit of a SPECIFIC letter and a surplus of another, wich is not the case.
I dont think the problem is with the % of the drops rates. I think they should tweek the opening system a bit, so hear me out. Every time you roll, the engine resets the chances back to 25 each, BUT what if every time you roll a letter consecutively the engine drops the rate, so if you drop "E" 3 times in a row the next time you roll, the letter "E" wont have 25% but maybe 23% or idk (depends on the scale STS would use) , and so gives the other letters bigger chances to show up, and so on.
I dont know if something like this is possible to do, and as I explained it, it has many holes, like where does this reset back to 25, what if they come alternative everytime, etc. But its just an idea that may come in handy somehow.
Oooor STS can just make the letters treadable since the amount of letters in the whole Arlor should be about the same ( since drop rates are the same) but divided in a chaos, so players can just solve the chaos since the letters are already there.

Have the same problem with normal letters like 50 of each and zero at one letter. But at least I can buy them in auc
