Can someone help me I need tips in pvp playing Eng

Haven't tried engineer much, but from what Thade mentioned previously, suppression is supposed to be used to stun an enemy in order to get away and heal yourself up a bit before reengaging then enemy, who doesn't have as many available heals. This makes you a pretty tough opponent 1 vs 1. However, as it seems suppression only stops the enemy from moving and not from attacking, the usefulness of this seems off, as they can kill you as you attempt to run away out of firing range.

Although you heals are slightly tuned down, and suppression doesn't hold for a second most of the time, nor do pain.

Note that i don't complain, as it might only be me, i'm the first to say i'm not a great player.
