Default Player To Player Quest System

    Hey all,

This is one hell of a weird idea, but please give constructive feedback. This is just a SUGGESTION, so dont flame me if u believe other wise instead give ur opinion on improving the idea.

I was just wondering if players could give quest to other players.

Players publish their quests in guild hall, and other players can take those quest from a 'Quest Board' in their guildhall.

The quest giver can specify prequisites required, the map, how many times the map should be run, the reward, and the time limit. All the items looted while the quest is taken during the specific map will go to the quest giver's inventory.

Note: Unable to complete the quest within time required time will decrease ur reputation, further decrease in reputation may result in being blacklisted from the quest system

    Example Quest:

    Map: Hydra's Bog
    Requirement: Level 71
    Amount of Runs: 50
    Reward: 200k
Time Limit: 5 Hours after the quest is taken

AL system already has a quest tracker and also a system to check for requirements.

Note: I know this will make the rich players lazier, but it is also an opportunity for poorer players to make money.

Let's take a loot at the example above, 50 hydra's runs, there is no guarantee for artifact drop during those runs, but there is a guarantee of the reward once the runs are done. This might not make rich players more richer but it will definitely help the poor players out.

I repeat, please give constructive feedback, and this is merely a suggestion.

Edit: I thought about a situation where the player loots a good item, and quits the quests. For this case, I suggest that the item looted will still go to the quest giver, and the runner will be rewarded the percentage of the reward.

Example: the quest asks player to run 200 hydra runs for 2m as the reward. If the player loots artifact on the first run, then he will only be granted 1/200th of the reward, in this case 10k.

It the player doesnt finish atleast 10 taken quests, he gets blacklisted

    Peace,
    Azedz

I played a superhero/supervillain mmorpg game that had a architect system built into the game(game within the game) where you could design your own quests/story lines. You could use any map in the game world, any minion type, any boss, and adjust difficulty levels too. You could even have npcs, and characters say their dialogue that you write for them.

It was mostly a 'design your own story' quest and it was a lot of fun. You could play other people's quests, it was amazing to see how creative the player designed quests were. Some of the quests were as good as the original game content(maybe even a few were better)It had a built in rating system too.

Not sure if such a thing could exist in AL but it was fun reminiscing.

That would be cool, but I think u misunderstood what I said.

The players are giving 'tasks'/quests to fellow players to complete for them, and in exchange they get rewarded.

Its cool idea. For end game players it became so boring these days and this system can really make dead zones more alive

+1 this would be a great idea!

If I may add my own thoughts, I think “guild quests” would be a good idea to add to the game. For example, every 24 hours, 5 quests will be posted for your guild (you could check progress in guild hall). If your guild completes a quest, all players who participated in that quest would receive an award (for example, 15k gold, 5 plat, 1000 pots). If a quest is not completed, nobody gets the reward for that quest. Quests could have different difficulties, and people’s reward would depend on the difficulty of the quest.

Examples of guild quests: Kills 5000 elite tindrin mobs, kill 100 elite nordr bosses, get 100 pvp kills, etc. All these quests can be contributed by guild members until they are completed. This idea could possibly revive dead maps (older elites), encourage people to work on aps, encourage teamwork, encourage activeness, and possibly even revive pvp.

I personally would find the guild quests a fun and interesting addition to the game. Thoughts?

Sounds like a great idea and would love this to be in AL. My main concern is gold laundering though this method.

    But overall +1

The suggestion isnt perfect, need help to counter all the exploits

Edit: The system works in a first come first serve way, only the first person to take the quest will be able to do it, gold laundering might not work with this
