It’s because people would already have 300+ crafted energy kits for next event and sts saw that as unfair for other new players that would do the event. It’s been like that since 2016 or 17 not too sure.
That‘s not unfair. People farm many events and going to LB without spend anything and others have to spend for LB 20-50m Gold.

Well people with not much gold spend tons of effort running around to farm energy just to prepare for the next event. On the other hand, rich people spend their gold and plat to buy energy. So its pretty much your choice, either you spend your effort and farm the energies yourself or you spend your gold on energies instead. I do agree as to why they removed the crafted energies after the event. I mean, people put a lot of time and effort into farming these.
they just get removed from inventory
