it was probably nerfed for some bizarre reason.

In dead city arcanum grounds after you kill krodo, captain rutger appears and before, mages clock was the only thing that could hit him immediately. now it does no damage
before: that rugther also could be hitted by pools (like nilbog, sns) - now cant
same with worms in underhul:
-how it worked before: if u hit nearby mob while worm climbs out - sss/clock (also fireball maybe and pets abilities like sns nilbog...) would damage worm also (and same with beetles in underhul and all mobs in cryostar)
-now: sss doesnt deal damage to those mobs till their full spawning (need to wait)
if im not wrong - these changes happened at same moment when hydra got last update (before: u could damage heads/tails at any time, now: u can damage only when hydra "not more enraged")

Are you saying that these effects now NEVER do damage - or are you saying you now have to wait before they are effective in cases where monsters are emerging / transitioning?
I believe you have to wait to be for them to be effective now. I believe what Gufu is trying to point out now at this point is that a lot of the timed leaderboards were integral around this "bug" where you could damage the bosses before they actually became effective, and now with the patching of this bug, the times are locked in for the rest of the season and can no longer be beat
^ yes what he said. I doubt it is a bug tho, cuz clock hitting early has been allowed for 11 previous seasons so I see no reason why it would be patched now (if it was a bug). I’m just interested in why it wasn’t changed haha
Here is your answer:
It is not a nerf, It was a bug, skills are not suppose to damage the target before the target is ready.
Using Mage skill to kill bosses in timed instance to get the best time was an exploit, people used it like any other exploit.
The current best time for the instances will not reset even if it was set by this exploit, because devs have no way of knowing if it is legit or not.
@Devs: There is another exploit for the same map (Dead City - Arcanum Grounds): Entering Lost Mages mine resets the timer and then runners start the timer from its entrance.

When I see mod/devs taking that thread seriously. Rem been offline for almost 10 days now (hope everything is alright) and the thread was last checked/updated on 11th.
If it was a bug, then why was it allowed for 11 straight seasons? Lol
He isn't crying. He is asking why this was happening for 11 seasons and suddenly not, because if its a bug it should have been fixed long ago.
FYI most of timed lb runners are rogues and they were inviting mages to take advantage on this, so not only a mage problem.
From my point of view rogues-warriors-mages are all the same, players. No need to point your salty finger to anyone
Because Futumsh started working on AL bugs only around 7 months back. And players (irrespective of any class) don't report the exploits, so some of us have to test all the classes and report them to get fixed, its one of the major reason why I have been asking for Public Test Servers to be enabled again.
All classes have broken skills, some of them get patched but then most of them break again after a app update or other changes.
And Rogues/Warriors dont? lol please don't generalize. Forums is for asking questions, if you don't have the answer then just pass.

Haven’t seen any warrior crying threads , rogues get 1 small nerf and boom RAGE lol. Then you mages just cry about everything. Flame staff gets nerfed because it’s level 51 then all you mages go nuts. Smh. Just play the game. Learn to adapt. My bad if it was a bug. No reason to get defensive XD at the end of the day it’s only a game.
