Honor PvP in AL

some of you might be aware that there is something called an 'Honor Arena in PL, where you have item packs with Honor arena items in it. These items are a lot weaker than your average gear, and everyone uses these in the maps.

Now I noticed that most people don't have the gold to buy gear that would be just enough to compete against the "rich people", so implementing something like this would give an aspect to the PvP side of AL where only skill is required, not op items.

Let me know your thoughts on this so the Devs can see it

AmaZing idea or at least take the awakens or jewels out of pvp make it less expensive or have a system when you can buy pvp gear with honor points that you gain from getting kills or capturing flags i think this would really make pvp way more popular

Removing awakes from PvP is a good idea, however that won't solve much of the problem since people will still have expensive arcanes etc. that the players can't compete against

The only reason people spend real money in games is to get an edge over other players which includes pvp. Farming is also done to get the gear required for pvp , if you want a level playing field try out a moba or a fps where skill floor is so high that you will need to spend at least several months to get good which is not the case with al as the skills are limited and most combos are pre -determined . MMO's inherently don't have a level playing field and that should remain the same as the time or cash spent is directly proportional to gear required for pvp . You take away that you take away the essence from the game which is to farm and get better geared.

The arena thing is great and all but in order not to destroy the economy, it has to only be accessible during PvP events (pvp tournaments etc.). It can't be something players have unlimited access to.

I asked cinco about this a while back and he said its a good idea but problems that need to be ironed out include:
1. Class imbalance
2. What stats (granted by the free gears) would be considered 'fair' for each class
