I'm trash at farming jewels

I get 18-20 weaks per elixir. Do sorcerers farm jewels? Why do warriors do it, is their bleed more frequent than our dot?
Here's what I do, tell me what I'm doing wrong (wrong class, wrong map, wrong skills).

I put all skill points in strength, go to Elite Shuyal's second map and gather the mobs of the first area. I don't use a weapon, just Magma and:
Clock (full mastery),
Fireball (full mastery),
Gale (full mastery),
Frost Bolt.
I don't charge Fireball and Gale. The mobs all get permanently frozen and hopefully still bunched together. I circle around them so I don't always hit the same side, or only that side dies. I remap once at ~7 minutes in because the mobs start dying off at 6-7 minutes.

Is it a weird way to farm jewels? It's still cheaper than buying the jewels so I don't mind that much, but everyone else gets 40-60 weaks per elixir. If there's room for improvement that doesn't require shiny gear or leveling a warrior I'll take it.

On a side note, do sorcerers that deal tons of damage rely on a proc, or on stats? I just came back, I hardly remember anything, and I'm completely new to the expansion. On the upside, seeing all the improvements on the UI/user friendliness is great! I'm in awe! The inventory is fantastic!

You're doing it wrong.
First off you shouldn't be farming in elite shuyal anymore, mauso is better for mages or elite mauso, you need the witches to debuff your damage and heal mobs.
Hex staff got nerfed bad and isn't good for jewel farming or anything at all, best way is to get to the lowest possible damage you can possibly get.
After witches debuff you, you start getting all mobs frozen and start using any skills that apply heavy DoT on mobs (charging fireball is a necessity since this applies the burn).

Why is Elite Shuyal no good? I wear no weapon, my damage is already 27. It takes 6 minutes for the one batch of mobs I pull to start dying. There already are more mobs than my skills can hit at one time, as far as I can tell

You can gather way more mobs in maus. Way more mobs = way more DoT/hits on them = way more jewels.

i started using a lower war so went to Tindirin, but maus with the right sorceresses is amazing. Tires me out sometimes and I hate leaving, but it is amazing.

I bin hearing hauntlet is op for jewel farming too i have nvr tried it but am interested...my guild says hauntlet is pretty decent for jewel farming nowadays....maybe try there it couldnt hurt

I heard that jewel elixirs are working in Booty 2020 event, same as pve kill counts...

Anyone knows if its true? Would be great do event and farm jewels at same time.
