considering quitting, need contest ideas to give away stuff
im consedering quitting i have played sl for months and im bored of it now hit 40 and do not feel like going for 41; plus its keeping me distracted from other work, so im consedering giving away ALL my stuff please give me a good contest idea:
i have :
X rays
Squid buddy
full custom battleshell set
2 level 10 pinks
20-30 level 10 christmas greens
need good contest ideas please comment

That is unfortunate. It happens some times. I suggest you wait till after the holidays to make a decision. Take a break for a few weeks. I felt the same way a few months back. I took a break for a few weeks and came back. A change of scenery always helps when you feel like you are being overwhelmed.
If you have to go then you must. It would be sad to see you go.
hey take a break for a week, it gives a lot of time for you to think about how much you wanna play, if you do take a break then when you come back, you automatically take it easy, and play for fewer bursts and have almost the same amount of fun... try it before you give your stuff away
I agree with them take a break and think it over for atleast a week
If not I'd love to enter a contest for a vanity :-)
As for contest ideas maybe something to do with your real life hobbies, drawing something (although I'd lose that easy)

But seriously, I'd keep these items as you may come back.
What about finding people that are new to the game, and giving them a few things that will help them out? They could always use gold, or stims. Plus they can keep the items for later use, or sell them off to earn some gold.
You could also have the forumers nominate someone that really deserves your things. It could be someone that doesn't have a lot of time or money to earn a lot of things. They wouldn't be allowed to nominate themselves. This way really uses the honor system.

Hmm i would suggest take a break for awhile and if you still feel like not coming back then i would say give those items to close friends .

On another note, don't quit take a break. Trust me, a break does a lot. I can't play because iPod and phone are broken, so it's like my break. I've gotten a lot done lol, so TAKE A BREAK DON'T QUIT YOU'LL REGRET IT.

People give their items away so they won't want to come back. It works wonders! (I did it with PL)And really, it is just a game. One which can leech a lot of your life away because it's so addicting.
Anyways, there are several ways you could do a giveaway.
1. Give it to close friends/guild mates.
2. Have a lottery-type contest.
3. Have a contest where people have to do something creative and you choose the winner.
4. Run around SL looking for somebody random you think will appreciate them. (this is my personal fav)

Well, dude, first of all, i totally agree with others - take a break, go snowboarding or just read some books..
On the other hand, i totally understand what u mean.. Personally i was a bit afraid to get involved with MMOs in general (SL is my first one) as i know people who got sucked into.. So, if u feel it's too hard - then quit and delete your acc
I don't know what quest or contest to advise you, as we are not acquainted and i don't know your preferences, but i can tell ya mine though. If you like them - great, if not - it' also good
1. Kahlua is respected member. Maybe you could help her
2. CTF is a great PvP mode, but not many are into it (i wonder why!) so you might start up a tournament to involve ppl and have fun yourself just before quitting
3. Personally, i have a contest aimed to revive the Jedi Council guild, i just need good vanity like Squid to launch it. If the concept of Jedi appeals to you i will be grateful for donation.
