High ping using chrome

Hello!
When I play PL using chrome, my ping reaches 1000, so it becomes unplayable. When I try to play it using my ipod, my ping is below 200 and I have no problems at all. So the internet connection isn't te problem. Any suggestions?

Most possible answer is your computer.

•It might be running too many programs at the same time causing the high pong.

•It can be a problem with the server, since many people aren't having a low ping on chrome.

Other than that, I don't know

A few people have experienced Chrome ping to be high, I have had this problem as well. It seems that I hardly have lag on chrome, but on my device, the lag is really high, opposite to you. Try exiting chrome and reentering, this may stop lag a bit. You could unistall chrome and reinstall.

What antivirus do you use? There's a known bug with the NOD ESET antivirus that causes crazy latency on websocket connections with some settings enabled.

Im using Eset, but even if I disable Eset I still have a huge ping. With other online games, such as League of Legends, I have no lag at all... I will try to reinstall chrome and check what happens.

Not to worry, Everyone is experincing Lag and Ping.
Cs lag, Pvp Lag, Pve lag. It was just like the time before PL crashed. Just a bunch of Lag and Ping. My pinged raised to Red:1200. So eh...

any update on your post, I have the same problem with higher ping using Chrome but using my device I do not have any problem at all, the only program running on my PC is Chrome and anti virus software (ESET). I thought I can play better using Chrome than using my device, hope someone can share their thoughts about this. thanks...

Its partly the game servers, but It's Mostly Chrome. Chrome is rubbish.

I started getting High Pings in chrome, between 800 and 1300. so I ran Speedtest.net test "in chrome". I got a ping of 508 and a download of 2mbps, which is odd as I have a 40mbps line.
I ran the same speedtest.net test in Internet explorer, and I got a ping of 7 (which is about right) and a download of 38mbps.

So I copied and Pasted the Game URL into IE, and once you get past the usual "Allow site Flash to access your HDD" security (which FTR Chrome didn't ask!!) the game ran at around 200 ping! far better than what I was getting in Chrome browser.

I suggest you try for yourself in a different browser not Chrome.
