Five item trade window for armor sets to avoid scamming?

Twice now I have been involved in what I would describe kindly as misunderstandings, while trading armor sets whole. Armor sets are five items, and the trade window only holds four, so usually people just give an item either before or after... But I just got stiffed for the fifth item in a set (something I was one accused of myself, though that was resolved amicably by a mutual friend) and now I have to either track this guy down or bring in the guard or worse, the devs with reports and stuff, which I don't want to do.
Improving the trade window might be a lot of work, but is this a significant portion of trade disputes? Might be worth the time it takes...

Sorry to hear of the bad luck, Tameron, I have a suggestion for a temporary fix for the future. Take the set price and divide by 5, save the legs or arms for the last trade, and then have the trade go 4/5 set pieces, with 4/5 of the payment, and then sell the last piece. This is the safest way to ensure you don't leave yourself with no leverage. You NEVER want to put a stranger in a position of trust in a videogame, because a stranger without a face is even more likely to take the goods and run.

I don't advise "calling the guard" as we do not "guard" blackstar as our name implies, and I have no more weight in my words than you do. With that said, I advise you to email Support(at)spacetimestudios.com with your issue, they can see chatlogs and resolve this for you no problem.

Just thought I might add that this has been suggested by yours truly and with recent issues regarding set selling I'm pretty sure they'll implement this soon. There has to be a way to safely sell a whole set of armor, lol, it just makes sense.

At 35k a recipe, no wonder people are resorting to stealing. XD

Ya Ebalere made a thread for this previously and I don't see why this wouldn't be implemented. All it will do is benefit everyone.

This is why I usually only buy from the auction, buy from friends, or get the items myself.

Didn't u already cover this in your "a few solid suggestions" thread Ebalere. But good idea about splitting the cost and armor sets ive been doing that since day one. And good luck tameron hope u get everything resolved.

Yea I just give the arms after...I did that with Custom Chromaweave... they need to add me as a pet lol also the need to add 5 trade slots
