On a mage I like dual spec with Strength, so it becomes a Paladin. That works well because mages need better armor and the Strength armor is simply the best at any level, and the extra STR gives you better hit points. Generally Dex items aren't as good as mage items, but there are some with good range, so if you like to kite a lot, go for Dex. Extra Dex improves your hit percentages. good luck

    I would do STR.

    Dex improves dodge.

But y'know, at level 29, and especially your first time through the levels, I think you might want to stick with a pure Int.

Just put all your extra points to either Dex for Dodge or Strength for health pool.

Personally, I would go pure INT. Especially for farming it will benefit your party most. Your skill dmg and heals are way higher as compared to spending points in either str or dex. And at end level, pure int mages aren't that badly protected or squishy at all.

But yeah, it's all about personal preference and what you want to do with your mage. You may want to ask yourself first what level you intend to level up to, and whether you like PvP or PvE more. If people understand what you want to use your mage for, it will be easier to give you proper advice

And for all doubters of my rockstar status:
