Hello!
I haven't played since the graveyard expansion came out. Just recently I got the urge to maybe start playing again, I used to really enjoy the game.
The reason I stopped is because it became insanely grindy (potentially spending days) to find half decent loot. It felt very pay to win at the time.
Is the game still like that?

Well nothing special,still if you farming grind hard for days for just noob items that wouldnt help

What these 2 said to you makes no sense at all. They are active on forums, pretty sure I have seen one of them send me a random party invite in vardan town, seen some trade shouts in-game, yet they are telling you not to bother coming back. I wouldn’t listen to them if I were you. If AL is in such bad state, what are they doing here?

Grind is part of all MMOs. There are several maps you can run, have fun and make gold, be it from looted items or using gold loot items. Then there are events. Easter event is going on and I can say with 100% certainty that the guys who replied to you are logging on regularly to buy eggs cheap and hoard them for later profit, LOL.

Everyone’s experience is different. You should log on, chat with some old friends and play a bit. Then make up your mind whether you want to continue playing or not

The game right now:
1. Expansions/Content: Pretty much the same way you left it i.e. Gold Loot and grinding.
2. PvP: Not enough activity and not playable by all i.e gear is expensive and levels die pretty.
3. Trading: Good probably, things have gotten expensive and if you like to play to trade you might enjoy.
4. Friends: Idk if your friends play anymore or not.
5. Pets: If you are a pet collector, you have a ton of pets to collect.

As long as you don’t mind grinding for gold instead of gear in a loot based mmo arcane legends is the game for you! Looting viable gear without the use of platinum is essentially non existent
