Is it a glitch that my avian helms were changed to look like the new classic avian vanity or is this intended???

Probably not intended. Kinda like how orignally lv50 laser wand used to be a gold/yellow color, but then got changed to purple when new purple laser wand was added, and remains purple to this day.

I think this should now be fixed if you patch.
