Now mobs only drop jewels if you kill them and IF they are scaled at your level. For example level 76 need to farm in valley. If mobs are lover level than you then jewel drop chance is reduced and if mobs level is too low then you don't get jewels at all. Hauntlet still works for all levels though

Try other maps, it doesn't work the same anymore it is said that it drops based on kills now unlike before that it drops on damage dealt.
I recommend try these maps:

Vardan Gates
