    I wouldnt call this a scam nor a merchant tactic, id rather lable it as a very disgusting trick.

    A scam would rather imply promising someone anything he wont recieve, in this situation the item would be sold for 16m agreed on my both parties,he will recieve what he bargained for. hence i would not lable this a scam.

    I think you interpreted the OP wrongly. Basically seller with a fake c/o, a fraud.

    You just gave the definition of what scam means 'a dishonest scheme; a fraud', at the same time you oppose that this isn't a scam.
