My New PC - PICTURE EXTRAVAGANZA
So, I got home from work last night and was greeted by my new computer parts I ordered! What I thought would be a quick assembly, ended up being a huge amount of headache. I was up until 5:30am getting this built and configured. But regardless, I am extremely happy with it so far!
Specs:
i7-2600k unlocked second generation 3.4 ghz processor.
Asus Maximus 4 Extreme-Z motherboard. Pretty much THE top of the line motherboard for the lga1155 chipset. It has every single thing you could want in a motherboard. Including bluetooth support for cellphones. (I can tweak, overclock, and monitor my system from my cell phone!). It is geared towards overclocking and makes it simple.
EVGA GTX 580 3GB DDR5 graphics card. Beast of a graphics card. Sure I could have spent $700-900 on the new 590, but this card will run anything out right now on the highest settings with awesome FPS.
16 GB DDR3 Corsair Vengeance RAM. 1866 mhtz (Will only get these speeds once I overclock)
Hyper 212 Plus cooler. (Aftermarket cooler to prepare for overclocking my processor. Look at how huge it is! lol)
ThermalTake 1000w modular power supply.
ThermalTake Level 10 GT Case - Full tower case with plenty of room. My graphics card is gigantic, and my motherboard is extended ATX, but they both look tiny in this thing! Awesome cable management. Awesome cooling. Awesome .. pretty much everything. Tons of huge fans, WITH removable filters for easy cleaning. 5 hotswappable hard drive bays on the side of the case. Can easily pop hard drives in and out without opening the case. Comes pre-lit with multicolored schemes that can be changed by the press of a button on top of the case.
