    Default Ranked PVP Changes - the elimination of non-Honor Ranked

    Sup, Legends!

    As the title of this post indicates, we will be eliminating the non-Honor mode for Ranked PvP; making "Honor Ranked" the only Ranked PvP mode in the game.

    This change will take effect at the start of next season!

    The reasoning behind this change for this should be pretty obvious to those who regularly queue for Ranked. For those that haven't / don't play: there are simply too few Ranked participants to justify dividing the community among two different modes. It is our hope that by removing the non-Honor Ranked mode that we will see a greater number of participants for 'Honor' Ranked and that the queue times for 'Honor' Ranked matches will be affected positively.

    We are also making changes to penalize players that abuse the systems we put in place to allow disconnected players to rejoin matches in progress. Apparently, legitimate internet service-based disconnects are rare to such an extent that providing a method to rejoin is simply unnecessary. So, in the future: leaving Ranked matches in progress will count as 2 points for your opponents.

    Now obviously PVP-related changes tend to illicit widespread silence and contented shrugs... but I would encourage you to share your thoughts this time 'round if you have anything to say.

    I personally like more than 2 points penalties for those who tends to leave game as a strategy.

    This is great update,thank you!

    Here s my opinion about what other upgrades this lb needs @cinco:

    -The popularity of honor ranked matches during last 5 days increased a lot due to the large amount of people going to gain last points before season ends so I ask:
    Make honor ranked lb shorter as the hydra and infested lb (30days).

    -Probably 100% of players agree that the banner style isnt encouraging pvpers to participate, we all thinks they are not so "cool":
    Change them, revive their style, bring back the old pvp banners or make new ones.

    I d suggest to bring back flag lb to but that's another topic

    No, this defeats the purpose of ranked honor pvp. You should be able to play with who you get. However, the queueing algorithm could use some tweaking as it definitely doesn't feel random. I've had a dozen or so matches at the top and I always get the same tank 95% of the time, despite other tanks being available and in range.

    Perhaps something to look into, @Cinco.

    I think he means for normal honor pvp, not ranked honor

    As a tank I think honor ranked is as fun as washing the dishes. Would be nice if you added something to normal pvp so more would play. I know how hard it is and has been or something would have been done already.

    If your gonna take away normal rank please look into warrior stats I've notice rogues are more tanky than tanks (when tanks are off jugg) why? Simply because of the dmg reduction of razor
    I suggest boosting the stats off aegis making tanks more tanky also reducing the dmg when using aegis
    It's a even trade if you ask me

    If you are talking about honor pvp..

    Rogues are not tanky. Razor allows a rogue to focus on the opposing rogue without receiving an even greater amount of damage from curse than they already do. Making tanks more tanky with increased armor on aegis would simply allow the tank to have the survivability to fend off the entire oppo team until his jugg cd is over. Right now, the only way a rogue can hope of even killing a tank is if the 17% crit we have is gracious enough to give us a 2.5k max crit on a tank, comboing them twice in hopes that they die.

    If you propose that tanks are not tanky enough, then you have to also concede the fact that rogues do not produce enough damage, which just is not true.

    Outside of crit building (which is primarily used for a versus in honor pvp), the average damage of a rogue combo (taken from 10 combos, 5 with crit built up and 5 without buff), is roughly 3.5k.

    Like I said earlier, the risk a rogue takes when attempting to engage the oppo rogue while cursed is immense. Accidentally comboing the mage results in a 30% hp drop, not to mention curse reduces crit for rogues

    Honor pvp is fine the way it is. Just find a work around. Maybe try building your tank around survivability and dps.

    I do agree that in clash, everything is balanced. Perhaps, warriors could have a slight HP boost so they can delay jugg. I do mean slight, btw. I would say around 150 HP more. Rogues don't ever really one combo tanks even off jugg unless tanks have already been hit with a FB and/or an axe armor debuff.

    Ranked pvp was a very good idea spoiled by sore losers.

    If it ever does come back it may survive if there are no prizes to win at the end of the season. There also needs to be a way to kick dummies/ trolls that are afk and possibly not allow entry if stats are below a certain power level similar to how Honor won't let you enter with non honor gear. After encountering people scared to lose who switched chars to cause intentional loss I wasn't interested any further. It also didn't help that some who reached higher spots stopped playing their regular characters and switched. How do I know they switched? Because their alts would show up in the next match after they lost.
