I understand that STS has their rules and people are free to use the auction house however they want and you have to click on the item to buy it and whatever, but I'm sure at this point everyone will understand if STS just bans this clown.

Because this implies an open challenge to the actual devs, let's see to what extent dev can tolerate such behaviours that clearly destroys a significant number of players experience.

To review, many of the above responses are not toxic in nature, they are from the intent to bring awareness and to defend the community from shady market techniques. FYI, criticism of any socially undesirable/unacceptable behaviour is typically negative, to the extreme end it can become toxic where every comment can turn to personal attacks.

So why did the "toxicity" happen in this thread?

Because not many people can remain calm and objective towards ill-intended people who repeatedly stepped on their bottom lines of being nice.

Here's the thing, while they are many others who shows toxicity out of jealousy, hate and insecurities; there are just as many who became toxic because they wanted a better community for AL but they don't know how to communicate better when faced with people that consistently pressed their buttons. The intention of the comment is where the difference lies.
