Default Dark Legends Skill Tree Guide

Even though Dark Legends is not released yet I'd like to do a general Skill Tree Guide for the ones who don't know what a Skill Tree is since some of my friends have no clue what it is. I have personally played some MMORPGs during my gaming days and Skill Trees are the most common solution for skill setups for nowadays "modern" MMORPGs.

In case u r wondering where I picked up that there are going to be Skill Trees this is a quote from Pocketgamer's article regarding to DL obviously referring to Skill Trees.
You no longer pick your character from a selection of classes, but instead use a specialisation tree to choose how your blood sucker will fight.
and the link for the whole article is here.

I'd like to ask some Kindle Fire owner (or someone who somehow has found already lol) to send me via PM a pic of the Skill Trees and Basic Skills to me so I can wrap something up! Ty plox !

    What are Skill Trees?

This all is taken from Wikipedia to reduce my time to explain "simple" things lol

A skill tree is a character development gaming mechanic typically seen in role-playing games. A skill tree consists of a series of skills (sometimes known as perks or by other names) which can be earned by the player as her or she levels up or otherwise progresses his or her player character. These skills grant gameplay benefits to the player; for example, giving the character the ability to perform a new action, or giving a boost to one of the character's stats.

A simplified example of a skill tree structure, in this case for the usage of firearms.
A skill tree is called a "tree" because it uses a tiered system and typically branches out into multiple paths. A tiered skill tree will require a player to achieve certain skills before the next tier of skills become available. The player may be required to achieve all skills in one tier before moving on to the next tier, or may only be required to complete prerequisites for individual branches.
So basically Skill Trees offer u a chance to customize ur char just how u like it to be. It gives u the opportunity to select and go with the selected tree/s to make ur char ur own. It seems a bit complex in the beginning but it's easier than it seems .

    Skill Trees in Dark Legends

This is going to be the main section of this thread but now because of the lack of information it's only full of my own assumptions based on simple logic.

STS games have always had 3 base types of characters. Warrior = leader, CC skills, hp/strength/armor self buffs with high defense, Mage = buffs, debuffs, healing, reviving and AoE skills and "Rogue" = High especially singe target damage, self buffs, debuffs. Even though these aren't accurate definitions of the whole character, they still are their "main roles" IMO.

Usually there are 3 skill trees for a different class. In DL there are only one selectable class, (oysters) Vampires, so I think the Skill Trees are going to be following paths of Warrior, Mage and Assassin/Rogue. I can hardly imagine STS to break their "style" by adding something completely diffirent things.

Warrior Path is going to have (IMO) some kind of armor/HP buffs and specialized skill cooldowns, affects and unique skills. It's going to be the Pure Tank path of DL. Holds the aggro by CC (Crowd Control) skills and boosts own armor and HP up so others can do the heavy damage while Warrior sustains the heavy damage.

Mage path is usually heavily related to be the "supporter" part of the trees with buffs and healing abilities along with some nice AoE damage. Going to rely on Heal/Buff skills as a "Priest" and to AoE damage skills as a "Mage". Healers are always needed and AoE damage dealers are always useful but without any stunning abilities "Mages" are going to have a hard time trying to keep themselves alive at 1on1 situations but in clearing mobs it is the best there can be. Maybe the most versatile tree there is going to be with the possibility to choose two diffirent paths which are completely diffirent.

Assassin/Rogue path is usually the single target damage dealer part of the trees. Relies usually on stuns with high percentage of damage with a con to vulnerability to other's attacks. Usually the PvP type of a trees considering to the fact that it has awesome skill setups for 1on1 battles. Very hard to master in larger PvP situations but if mastered still going to be awesomesauce. It is possibility for "Assassins/Rogues" to have some type of an Archer path inside the Perk Tree itself.

With Skill Trees there is a neat catch. By choosing a certain path u don't have to follow it through. U can put some of the Skill Points to diffirent tree to make a Paladin by adding points to Warrior path and "Priest" path or even a RoguePriest. The options are limitless but it's still not recommended to put all of the Skill points to diffirent Trees. U should still focus on one main path because the best skill/abilities are usually in the top of the tree. At least 2/3 of the available Skill Points should be put to one Tree but yet again it's all about preferences. Alongside with the fact that (at least I didn't find) the actual DL Skill Trees aren't yet released so it's hard to try to make actual builds without seeing the Tree itself.

As I said this guide is still under major construction.

I'd like to see more than 3 trees, preferrably 6. DOT DPS, Normal dps, Warrior, Beserker, Healer, and power mage.

Wow, I didn't know skill trees were going to be implemented. I'm excited now! Thanks for the info Dudetus! It's kind of like order and chaos if anyone has ever played it, you pick the class you want (even though you can't choose them here) and then each class provides it's own skill branch (I.e. A monk can do damage heal, A mage can use fire attacks or ice attacks, a warrior can be a tank build or a damage build, an archer can be a ranger or assassin)
