It would appear that way but that's not how it works: when you unlock the combination levers and use them to open the two sets of bolts on either side, the door becomes a ramp - secured by a much larger hinge that sits inside the floor of the safe. This ramp allows you to load massive amounts of gold into the safe via hand-truck.
