I'm a warrior main and I'd like to get into mage. I've been using the 76 arc armor for as long as I can remember but people tell me ebon is better for mages.
Could anyone clarify if this is true?

Ebon. Procs easier on mage.

Id say Ebon first if you're going pve ebon is really good for pve because of haste and easy proc disadvantage is just lower gear stats like int/armor compare to abyssal advantage of having abyssal good stats int/armor/crit and for proc hp% increase and mana ignore
Overall
Ebon: PvE (main) PvP (kinda)
Abyssal: PvE (Decent) PvP(main)
Just my opinion im currently using abyssal since i can't afford double armor but yes double armor is really good cycle the procs (not stacking)

Ebon with staff get procs then switch to gun and abyss on dm or evg bosses that's why
