What is happening

Is this kind of lag normal? (look at the ping in the bottom left corner)
This happens to me like 3 times every 20 minutes.
What kind of ping do you usually get?

THAT IS EXACTLY WHAT I SAID! It happens 3 times every 20 mins! Probably the patch needs to be held together more roughly.

I have discovered that nearly all lag is router related. in every sense really.

Same, I really do notice a difference when I am just on the second level of my house, although iPad does make the lag a lot lower, it does have stronger connection capability though.

I lag like hell get ping spike like that if I'm outside on the wifi, I wonder if reseting it might help.
