My friend and I have lower level mages and have been trying over and over to get the challenger in Shuyal Arena.
Is it more difficult to get at level 57-60 or do we need to be lower?
I know from past experience that it's harder to get that boss but it was never this hard.

A guildie spawned it a couple of days ago on a HC toon after his first 15 runs in... just dumb luck with it I'm afraid >.<

it's all just luck. Once I was running LB with a friend, I decided to go for a break and the Challenger spawned when I left. Hope you can find him soon!

While this topic is up, what are the requirements for the vortex crystal to spawn? Ive done over 50 runs with 1,2,3 other players and i haven’t encountered a single vc.

Vortex Crystal appears randomly, nothing really depend on the frequency of its appearing as a challenge.

I knew it was random but since i have yet to encounter one i thought maybe somethings changed since i did it on my main years ago.

Then I am kinda unlucky. I just reached 900 runs (I open the chests at 100, and this will be my 9th opening) and nothing. But one of my friend spawned challenger in 5 runs.

It's just a bad luck, this was also probably a last arena APS I had to deal with when I was farming HC as well.

Challenger is a pain it is totally random I spent 6 hours the first day of the season and 5 hours the second day of season running arena only to not find but if you get tired of doing runs I suggest offering a bounty hunter some gold to find it. Gl!

Haha yea if i know well you did with Tchrwitch. I asked him to find, but he would like to do it for 5m... It is too much for me right now.
