There is a bug that just randomly stops me from moving, I’ll be in first place, can’t press on the gas or boost and i can record it for you next time it happens if you want. And my ping is a constant 67. Lost about 10 races so far because of this

I figured the issue out my ping doesn’t even go over a 100 but it does spike up like 10 ping in races I’m still in the green and it shouldn’t matter, why does it cause me to be immobile..

same here and it happens almost every race
It’s annoying like the littlest ping spike can cause you to lose a race

iOS iPhone 8 Plus same thing will happen on iPad 8th generation.... even if my ping drops it still causes me to stop completely almost every gameOriginally Posted by asommers
I just wanted to give a heads up at first it was frustrating because I’m down like 15 1st place games now thrown because of it. But I don’t think anything can be done about it so I’ll just deal with it

Playing on both mobile and web, I have not personally experienced any random stops. Could it be that you're pressing BOOST when you have fuel and then you've run out of fuel? If you're not using gas pedal, but boosting and then you run out of fuel, you will stop.

It happens to me at the beginning of the race at the first set of boosts sometimes when the kart is about to touch the boosts.

My guess would be you've let off the gas. I'll see about making the button detect region extend beyond the bounds of the button.
Similar to this thread but for the buttons on the right side of the screen.

It happens while im holding gas and mashing boost at the same time.
Race bug
I’m not even doing the event but I felt the need to add that it is a ping spike related issue, if your ping decreases you will be caused to stop completely letting others pass, when your ping increases the same happens. So if you don’t have a steady internet connection you’ll ultimately not enjoy the event. This is not AL’s fault it’s just my internet or anyone’s internet who is experiencing this. My ping does not go over 150 at most times but there’s people out there with 10-50 consistently so
Truly appreciate your hard work ALS, haven’t seen you much in forums but damm good job keeping up with everything
