Default Observe From Above is your best friend

After using my leet excel skills I was able to number crunch out the best non-playable mission, which is hands down Observe From Above.

Downtown Suburbs lvl 5: Observe From Above - 5 eng, 28 xp, 150 gold.

This comes out to 5.6 xp and 30 gold, per point of energy spent.

With the energy bar starting at zero, it takes 25 minutes to 5 points to play Observe From Above once. This means that Observe From Above can be played twice an hour with the energy bar at a zero state, which means it can be cashed out 57 times in a 24 hour period. Making its xp earning in a 24 hour period 1596 and its gold earning 8550.

If you can manage to hit it twice every half hour you'll bank on both xp and gold...because it give the best bang for the buck on both.

Otherwise, these are the top non-playable missions that give the best xp per energy, if you want to cash our your bar:

    Trick the CPD
    Search McCandless' Remains
    Find the Traitor CPD
    Slalk the Werewolves
    Crack the Mansion Safe
    Breach Hunter Hide out

These missions total out to 24 energy. They are long wait, but they give the best xp return.

These are the best non-playable missions that give the best gold:

    Trick the CPD
    Find the Traitor CPD
    Slalk the Werewolves
    Track the Horde
    Search McCandless' Remains
    Breach Hunter Hide out

This totals 25 energy, and gives out the best return.

After the bar hits a zero state, Observe From Above offers the best return, considering the it's replay times and energy's replenishment rate. If you just want to spam your bar down any of the werewolf 7eng/30xp quest are second best thing to spam down. Although, they don't offer the same return as Observe From Above.

Beg to differ - Rescue Vampire (in Gallows Alley Slum) is better than that. Costs 4 energy and 30 minutes, gives 35 experience base (8.75 xp per energy) and 165 gold. In 30 minutes you regen 6 energy so you could play it continuously if were able. 48 plays in 24 hours would be 1680 xp and 7920 gold.

Another example is Feed On Lookouts (also in Gallows Alley Slum.) Costs 4 energy and 15 minutes, gives 30 experience (7.5 xp per energy) and 145 gold. Using your example of starting from 0 energy: takes 20 minutes to generate 4 energy so you could play this 3x per hour or 72x per day. That would yield 2160 xp and 10,440 gold.

I'll let you know about Red Light District missions in a day or so.

Edit: For a really accurate list, see this post and attached spreadsheet. Goes all the way to the end. Thank you Websterfatu and Snakespeare!

    This is an old post.

Yeah, I think they just changed all the cooldowns on the mission. I had it listed as a 9 hour mission.

    I need to update.

Yeah, it looks like they reduced the cool down of the 4en/35xp missions from 9 hours to 30 minutes. You are correct they are a faster xp gain than observe.

Sniff out werewolves and visit lee's flat are still a faster xp gain.

However, I need to update the new cooldowns to see if there is now a faster gaining mission.

Yeah, looks like those are the best according to his spreadsheet - not sure if it's updated for this recent patch.

    82. Red Light District - Visit Lee's Flat
    87. Red Light District - Sniff Out Werewolves

Feed on the Victims is the new fastest xp gaining mission played alone...

However...Marshwood lvl 4 (Feed on the Victims) and lvl 9 (Read Ancient Diary) earn 1476xp on a 12 hour cycle, if played in tandem every hour will produce the fastest gain that I could find, from the change in the mission cool downs. Seems like those particular missions have a synergy, because together they can produce more xp than they can make alone. It appears that other missions have similar synergy, but coupling them increases the frequency of play and the point distributing gets erratic and confusing.

I didn't really take a look in-depth, because I'm mainly just looking at maximizing xp gain with the least amount of work, and the other coupled mission didn't produce much xp. However, if anyone finds an efficient method to calculate or pair mission this I'm definitely interested in understanding it.

The synergy of feed on the victims and read ancient diary is a .94% xp gain over playing out feed on victims alone on any given time cycle that is over an hour. Quite interesting actually...
