    Default Speed Stat?

One thing that has been confusing me so far is the speed stat. If a weapon has a high speed stat, say, 1.6, does that mean it is really slow compared to a weapon with a speed of 0.6?

Intuitively, I would think higher means faster, but based on what I have seen other players using, I am starting to think this is not the case. Could somebody clear this up for me? Thanks.

1.6 compared to 0.6 is more than twice the difference. 0.6 is very fast. A speed of 1.6 is 2.6666666666666666667 slower than a speed of 0.6

Yes, 'speed' is actually refire time, or the time you must wait before you can use the weapon again. The lower the number, the less time you have to wait, so it's faster.

A weapon with 1.6 delay may be nearly 3 times as fast as a 0.6 delay weapon on paper, but they definitely don't behave that way in game.

For example, daggers are definitely not twice as fast as talons.
