nope this is the old patch notes from years ago. YOU must be two or less level than that area's level requirement.

But you can see this is a PvP game, not PvE. And a level 40 hosted it, when the campaign is 43-52.

I think this is new, because low level twinks were able to join alien oasis games. But a couple of months ago, it won't let you host or join. What's weird is that I still see people host games at that level. :P

I saw a lvl 35 host one then i tried to join and then it said i coukdnt thought it was weird lol

In order to join the AO3 PvP maps you need to actually beat all maps in the AO3 campaign.
