There should be a way to now how has the most kills in the whole game and less deaths. For people how at least have 4000 killls and deaths I think I would now like to who has the kill record.

My Dex bear is actually up to 10,000 kills. Anyway, this number is currently useless. Mages and Support Archer's might not get the killing blow, but that does not mean they were any less valuable.Originally Posted by Hamby

Yeah, there have been scattered suggestions for leaderboards, but the general consensus seems to be that nobody cares about kills and deaths. There have been several changes to the game that make kill count and K/D totally meaningless (change in how kills are counted, armor/damage elixers, tombs of mynas), so these numbers don't really say anything. They are going to add leaderboards for PvP soon, and that makes much more sense since it's a more even field and the stats won't be convoluted by things like elixers.
(BTW Fnordic is on 19,999 kills. I'm thinking of rushing Frogmar to make her my 20,000th)
What, you only gain a kill if you strike the killing blow? I thought you just had to have it targeted when it died?...
I know kill count is "unimportant" but i like increasing it. Makes me somehow feel superior to those lvl45s with only like 1000 kills... Thats just me though.
That is correct.
I've seen far to many 45's still playing AOE2-3 just to rack up some kills. Why? Whooooooo knows.

Great, more feeding into the madness of mynas. Just what we need is a reason for seasoned 45s to run the tombs of mynas, and allow little powerlevelers to follow them. /sarcasm
I understand why they are doing it G, i just think it's not a proper way to determining a leader by any means. Unfortunately I don't have any helpful input to this matter, so just call me a critic. :-p
It makes little sense to me to tie a leader board to kills at this point. For the first month or two of the game you were credited with a kill for ANYTHING you killed. That was even mobs that didn't give you experience. I watched friends who were level capped rack up 20,000+ kills in that time while running through the Foerest Haven maps. The number is skewed already so its not a fair gauge for a leader board IMO.
So, you get kills even if you don't get xp? Really? I don't think so... Let me check.

Not anymore, but it did used to be that way. That's how Loso killed a lot, he had 40K kills (the most in the game) now Thekingknight has 50-60K kills...
I think it would be cool to have a leaderboard. It would be pointless, but I think it would get people to do more fighting through levels. I think people will look at the leaderboard and try to beat the people higher up then them. Putting a leaderboard for PVP and K/D would get people to do more of the levels and fighting then they normally would. It would get at least some people to stop standing in towne, and starting playing the game.
I guess you could go to the place where the color bubbles next to the life levels are all blue. That's almost as easy...
