Aw why you guys interfered with Arena now??? I thought big boss cinco said its not a bug and its about Skills, pets etc?? A bit late to fix it at the end of the season, when people already been paid for carrying others. Pathetic game which is boring and ruined already, with devs who talk out their arse about the in game mechanics of the game, don't even understand their own game like we players do. I suggest you listen to the community more in future instead of being pompous arrogant people who think they know it all.
I will probably sound mean, but Did you even consider hardcore characters when you decided this?
Looks like there's a bug in updated arena:
when I ran solo and died and respawned for free outside the arena the gates remained closed. Should not it open to let me in?
Impact on hardcore players is minimazed by making this change on the last day of the season. Old players and this season lb runners already have arena achievements and in new seasonals it will be fair for everyone even being considerably harder.
As some already said adding new loot to the new arena would be cool. At least make gears dropping there of higher level as now they are still 40-41
Yes endgame capped maps should drop endgame lvl equip.
Maybe those changes should only have been made for non-hardcore players.
Let's remember that these maps add a great contribution of aps for the runners of the hardcore seasons, now it will be almost impossible to do those aps in hc.
The question is why now?
What was the problem that led to these changes?
Will this changes be adjustable to the endgame level?

I loved this new change from flat sand. please leave it like that
It doesnt matter much since they added the change within the new season. Ungeared seasonals won't be able to run it and that's most of the seasonal lb so they have the same expectations when creating a hc. Overall top players have the aps already but also should be geared to point that arena isn't a problem after the buff.
