Ebin Aegis Lv 81

So is this supposed nerf to the ebon aegis just fake news and rumors? Possibly speculation? Cause the way I see it, ebon aeg works perfectly fine at lvl 76 meta and lvl 81 cap is just +5 levels of that, so where's the problem? Do we just automatically double the dmg reduc nerf from -50% to -100% cause of 5 levels above?

Not speculation, it has been confirmed that ebon reflection decays by 10% its base reflection (which is 2000% for the aegis, 500% for the staff) for every level above lv71, and finally 0% against lv81 zones.

Take note that ebon's reflection is scaled on the level zone, not your level. So yes, lv81 tanks and mages using it on Festerfang content will still benefit the full 2000%/500% reflect, and 1000%/250% against Vardan Valley content, respectively.

If that true, and proc changed from lvl zone, not player lvl, that isnt awful. Sadly that ebon aeges dnt been work in elite maus, but if in gl farm maps all been same, that okay.

Thx alot for all the replies, i myself targeted this thread towards my hc tank, whos only weapon is the ebon aegis, i was lucky enough to loot it from spirit crates, on the 1st day ive created my hc tank, but many others spend 1500 crate token to buy this weapon, which whould have been very upsetting for many if the weapon whould have been made completly useless.
So regarding the ss of futumsh, that whould mean lv 81zones/lv81 based events, the ebon aegis wont have any effect, but it stays its way up till valley.

I would hope they choose to find a way to keep ebon aegis useful or even bring a new type of damage reflect / hp buff for warrior because as going into detail of a (tank) class that ebon aegis was one of the closes to tank type weapons there is that make legitimate sense to have for a warrior.

Yeah gotta agree on that. Tanks not only have to have crowd control utility, support, and taunt, but also actual tankiness and the ebon aeg brings so much to the table in this regard. Without ebon aeg, I doubt anyone would be able to go 100+ waves in evg or temple events. Too bad if it is indeed going to happen that ebon aeg would be just useful for any awakes you have on it for new 81 maps and not it's strong proc.

Mob lv is 86 yes, since maus5-6/elite is always 10lvls above the highest level player in the zone.

But zone level is still lv76 - Futumsh. Although ebon reflection in maus/temple events act weirdly generally.

Ebon reflection is based on zone level, not yours nor the enemies.

Yes, swamp temple mobs were obviously not lv76 as seen from the level color indicator beside their health bars - i'm just pointing out that the reflection (from my experience) is reflecting way more than 500%, or atleast my extent of knowledge about these weapons (or prolly just a bug) - since sts loves to not fully explain these stuff in detail.

The temple event's zone is meant for endgame players even though technically the mobs are not scaled to cap, meaning that the zone is meant primarily for lvl 76 players so the reflect scales.
