I'm unsure about gear that you can not enchant. I can see from pvp point of view why it is game breaking. But if it was for end game now, it is far from impossible to balance pvp now because of high damage output, and other statistics like dodge, hit% from skills do not have much effect.
I don't like the concept of no cap extension. If you love the previous campaigns and the pvp back then, perhaps a new arena where there are certain campaigns with no enchanted gear is allowed??
