It really doesn't matter.
If the buyer decides to tell the price, then naturally, you would always try negotiate for a lower price. Likewise, vice versa.

Its because as a seller, he doesnt want to negotiate lowering, he wants to negotiate upping the price. Its all mental, even if as a seller, he sells a certain item for 6m, he ll feel different if the buyer offers 5m initially, and the seller gets 6m in the end, rather than have a 7m auto and ending up selling the item for 6m.

Some tips or words that could improve your trade:
-Auct price: check the price of the item in auct, if there is one.
-Auto price: word used to know the price the seller wants to reach.
-C.o.: word to know the current offer of other buyers.

Happen lot of times XD when im selling an item and decide to sell to the buyer but they are nowhere to be found hahaha
rather give fixed price, then see all day low-ball offers.
If Im selling in public chat I sometimes say the name of what ever im selling then--- Forsale.
When someone asks how much in private chat, I will tell them my price. Then we negotiate the price unless its fixed. Shouting out a price in public will sometimes cause you to lose a potential buyer if they think your price is to high and cause you to lose the opportunity to negotiate if you are willing to.
If I want to make really fast gold and I dont mind selling something cheap--- I will shout out in public chat a price way lower than the value of the item im selling. It catches attention fast and gets you quick pure.
