It doesn't require someone to be a mastermind to realize that campaign releases are the "go seasons" for platinum purchases (plat = elixirs) and businesswise it would be ridiculously bad call to lower prices at the moment when people consume platinum no matter if it is on sale or not.
STS doesn't do charity work for us, they do have to get a living out of their games.
All Legends' games are F2P, u should be happy for it already.

Plat sales came to PL only because there was a huge lack of players and that plat sale (alongside with double weekends) were sort of "promo" to keep players interested in farming and playing.
Plat sales come if Humania is the latest campaign for >6 months.
Actually would make people buy more platinum.

Plat sale+ new campaign+ new vanities+ new platinum items= tempted to buy more plat.
they spend months working on a new campaign and get paid by platinum sales. I doubt a platinum sale is in order, or if so, a very marginal sale.

No I am not an econimics specialist, I am an econimics student. Will be a specialist in ~8 years.

If the discount is not going to make profit, it is useless to make a discount.
The ones who regularly buy platinum will most likely buy 2k plat pack and that's it. 2k plats is almost enough to lvl 3 toons to elite cap with trashers so there has to be quite a few new platinum consumers.
So using that equation out of that wikipedia article (the basic equation) if prices r lowered with 20% there should be >20% more consuming than there would be without the big platinum sale.
As I said, most platinum buying players will buy that single 2k plat pack regardless of the sales and therefore there should be whole lotta new consumers. Which is IMO unrealistic.
This all is in theory because we cannot rly have the actual platinum buying rates and we cannot procedure those two different scenarios at once.
If this is true we should just act non-interested in the game so they give us a platinum sale!

ya i understand that most plat buyers dont care will buy anyway. but like me i usually only buy during plat sales and i bet other ppl do also who are short on cash.

Sry, I am not raging even though it might seem so. As I am studying economics it just felt like I had a word to say lol.
Don't get me wrong, I would like to have a plat sale as well but it seems so unlikely in businesswise.
That's why I bought 8k plat for $240 last time
Now that they had one sale everyone is begging for another, just be glad they brought back the 2k option
ik it all depends on increase of sales and what they decreased the cost by ty for clearing it up for meik lol everybody has a word to say :P
