    Exclamation On / Off Aura to reduce spike of ping

    I am gonna suggest again the option for on / off of auras. Since you introduced the aura vanities last 2020 Halloween event. The ping always spikes. We cannot farm properly because of this. Hardcore players die because of this.

    My post last time about this got closed so I cannot repost the same issue.

    When you say ping spike, do you actually mean lower frame rate? Typically ping spikes are seen if you have a poor/slow/unstable internet connection.

    Regardless of ping, can we please have an option to disable auras on our screen only

    Auras impede gameplay by covering red zones, pools, tells, and proc visuals we need to see

    4 ppl standing in the same spot w auras absolutely blinds the game

    Not fun to die like that, many ppl have been asking for this for a while, I can show you threads where many want this option

    From a design perspective, adding an aura toggle is not a simple request. You have control of what you look like on other clients (equipment, vanities, titles, badges, Show Helmet option, Show Vanity Helmet option, Show Vanity Armor option, etc.). We don't allow player A to control what player B looks like on player A's client. These players have essentially paid for what their avatar looks like to others (through time/skill/money).

    We've discussed it internally many times, but for now, we're not planning on adding the option.

    Ty for your response but it’s not consistent with the game currently as I can control how another player looks on my screen, you have already built that into the game
    I can disable badges names and titles currently, I don’t see this being any different
    except that auras do cover game mechanics and ruin game play

    Please reconsider as your customers are asking for this

    Maybe just add a visualization effects that has options from low, mid and high just like other games?. Too many procs are just hard to see what is happening in the game.

    U can control your own appearance/how you look like to others but not the other way round.

    Being able to turn off aura means you are controlling how others wanted to be seen (it doesn't just involve you alone in this case) although ironically there's already something that is close enough to doing that: Wolf/Bride/Hellion set 3/3

    Because we all can do exactly what he said we can’t do right now

    I can turn off your name titles and badges (& I do)
    I don’t see how an aura is any different than a badge or title that may also have involved other players investing time and money to achieve
    Actually badges are harder to achieve

    So the response is inconsistent with what we have in the game

    Hmm what about a Toggle Setting similar to how Hotbar works, like how we can make it more or less transparent? Is there a way we can do that for the Aura Slot and Vanity Set Aura's X/X in maps we run? 🤔

    @Asommers I have one more suggestion before I go to bed. Incase the transparency idea is still borderline on your last reply. Tbh I think the only other way to combat Aura's and other effects ruining gameplay would be to make and add another Proc Notification system to game. To make things as simple as possible maybe having this built off of the Hotbar would be the fastest and easiest solution. I will explain.

    Procbar( Ya IK I'm tired lmao 😩 ): So instead of having the Hotbar Slots choose what item we want to fast switch, the rework with Procbar Slots will allow us to pick any Weapon or Item that has a Proc to be shown in the Icon Slot instead. So continuing to keep things simple every Weapon and Item Slot that can have a Proc will have a Universal Icon: Dagger, Bow, Staff, Gun, Sword, Aegis, Helm, Chest, Belt, Ring, Pendant, and Artifact. And numbers, colors, and pressing and holding Procbar Slot of this Universal Icon can be used to distinguish between 2 of the same type of items in 4 Slot Bar Setup. For example, Ebon Armor and Chasmal Armor can have a # 1 and or 2 in corner of the Icon Slot, or The Chest Icon can be Blue and or Green for each Armor.

    Proc Notification: Now how you and or the player’s want this displayed for Proc Activated, Proc Duration, Proc CD, and Etc I will leave this section blank.

    Customization: I think you guys have done an amazing job with Hotbars with how we can alter things, move, enlarge, transparency, and now Lock or Unlock. Nothing to add here from me Procbar wise maybe others might have something to say. And this why I originally thought having this built off of Hotbars would be best.

    Conclusion: So ya I guess another Rough Draft/Concept Idea. Could this work?
