this is kinda the nature of mmos tho. World of Warcraft has like 100 zones and most people are in 5 of them. As more and more expansions are released, people start to be spread thin across the zones. Eventually the old zones are considered "dead" because instead of having 5 people each in 20 zones, u have 1 person each in 100 zones. Then leveling simply becomes a race to endgame instead of a natural progression with player interactions.
Just kinda the way it is.
