Zodias mobs bugged?

So there is this quest to kill 1k mobs. It increments normally in every other map, except hauntlet and zodias. Hauntlet i may understand that it doesnt count towards the kill count for the quest. But zodias on the other hand, is very very inconsistent with the mob kill count increment. I can gather a group of 12 mobs and slaughter them but only get +1 or +2 for the quest. Yet the pve kill count increment seems fine.
