Doubt regarding leaderboard vanity(golden brawler/bowler)

So i recently came across threads selling the 2019 lb golden brawler/bowler. However according to the preview of 2019 Patrick's days event, the set is supposed to be character bound, here is the exact quote:

"The Top 10 Players will receive a character-bound gleaming 'Golden Brawler' vanity item set), the unique 'Lucky Brew Tap' banner (in addition to other goodies that include Awakening Gems and a Precise Jewel)"

So can any dev clarify this?

The lb version has golden shiny sparkles around, the tradable ones have none. Other than that, they look exactly the same.

Yeah just found out they had decided to add the top 10 lb vanity into meade crates that year and make it tradeable lmao.

This set of vanities were in the crate for a day and took off because too many people complained.
