Hi guys wonder if someone can help me I got a few gems it says its for upgrade for weapons but were do I go to upgrade?

You equip the gems to your person to make certain stats level up.

The upgrade mention is just to equipped and when you level you need to change another gems that suit from your level hope this guide will help ^_^
