How come it's 2022 and the notch issue is still plaguing this game...

Phones with notches have been out for what? 3 years at least if not longer and PL still implements notch so poorly that unless your device comes from manufacturers that developed a dirty notch fix you can't get rid of it!

Arcane Legends already has this implemented , I searched online too and it's only 3 lines of codes added to the styles.xml file in order for the app to display properly on notched screens...

Please fix this!

Black bar that you see on the left is the notch - game is already suffering from heavy desync if you're not from NA , don't make us suffer from notch issues as well... It's literally 5 minutes job.
I would link you articles explaining how to fix it too... but you seem to know how to do it when you want to - AL

Hm quick update - joystick location moved as well and it's not possible to get it back in the old place... It does not respect margin settings from "safe area layout"... Which kinda sucks when you got used to the old joystick spacing - would be nice of it respected margins , that way you can have bigger screen without having to relearn how to move around again...
