a lot of arcane legends monsters typically deal skill damage. older content you should be able to dodge some stuff. in hauntlet monsters scale to your level.
other games actually end up removing dodge from their game entirely because it ends up way to powerful.
Example.
path of exile use to have dodge and spell dodge but they ended removing it.
sometimes removing mechanics when fixing a game is necessary. if the mechanic is to powerful it stops the game from innovating in certain areas.
if they decide not to remove or rework mechanics in the game. the mechanics will start to repeat it self once it hits this wall.
this is typically done for the ease of maintenance its because " Maximizing profits" is prioritized over maintenance. all games hit this wall eventually but good games have more layers. the bad games hardly have a layer at all.
when games are to simplified they hit this wall. which is fine for the 1st two or three years of the games life. but any longer then problems start to arise. the solution to deal with these problems can also effect the game long term.
