Forgotten vanity event criteria

Suggestion thread is now closed so, in order to have a more clear idea of what items fit into these criteria, could we get a list of exactly what items are out of question to ever be added into the forgotten vanity event?

I know that this event's main purpose is to create vanity versions of gear from past expansions but then again there are some items that are actually rarer than others and have read several times some of those "rarer" ones don't get included in the suggestions list.

This time around I've seen many have suggested tabard sets to be added as well but these are actual vanity items so a complete explanation/list of what items are valid for future event suggestions would be much appreciated.

I myself wouldn't mind having tabard set re-released since it's the first vanity set that was included in the game but would understand as well if it ended up not being added.

I think it’s obvious they mean og rare vanities, lb vanities, discontinued vanities(tree set) etc.

Collectables should be collectables. Atleast leave some history to the game. Now it's all about buying the next new vanities that come out ever event or buying the next new weak mythic weapons that come out.

I believe Cinco once said that any items from S1-S3 will not be converted into vanity, that’s a criteria for Forgotten Van event years ago, idk now ��

My SG was released for SL which was awesome thx devs, everything should be up for grabs EVENTUALLY lol.....I can understand the newest vanities are not available right away. considering how AL is coming up to well 10 years lol.

Those are all vanities that already exist - so they are off limits for the event.

I indicated that we'd be offering vanity versions of equipment that has yet to be turned into a vanity. Nevertheless, players did request the return of a bunch of vanities. None of these requests fit the criteria of 'equipment that is not yet a vanity' so they're all off limits.

The exceptions to the base intent of this event would be NPC weapons and appearances. Hugals' axes are my favorite of these. Neither equipment nor vanity but still worth considering :-)

I'll change the name of the event so that it makes more sense. "Forgotten Vanity" is a disservice to the public and intimates a type of event that we have no interest in doing.

An easier/simpler question would probably be any plat store vanity or aura that came out during an event or sale or vanities that have been in locks in the past

Also I would like to mention that I'd like there to not be a year wasted on all the "collectibles" people are mentioning like forerunner crier blue founder ect, as there's already recolors of these and would be a waste of a space this year

Edit- Also would like to know if vanities that dropped from bosses from previous years would ever make a return

Any thought on maybe doing what fortnite did, When they re-released an old unobtainable skin, They gave the original owners a unique variant , So the actual old item still retain their value somewhat.

Suggestion - can be done through recipe from kragg vanity vendor?

heraldics, flurry, tabards, criers and everything else that has gained rarity over the years generally should be left alone. if a player didn’t start 7-8 years ago, why should it be made easier for them to get what took others all that time and effort to collect. Beggars will be beggars though (:

recolors of sets are probably the easier way going about it, so it can have it’s own specialty and value, not negating the value of the originals.

+1 I really hope Cinco reads this comment if he hasn't already. Another consideration is the Mythic wepons like the grey scythe and the grey Nightmarish daggers and the Grey sword version for warrior. I don't know the exact names but I THINK they are either lvl 31 or 36 mythic. Some people are asking for sets worth hundred of million. Gots every collector clinched up expecting for the worse. It's not about the price of the collectable to some of us collectors it's about being able to stand out. Being able to put on some of these beautiful art pieces that you guys created LONG ago and getting compliments. I LOVE my sets very much to see someone walking around with a purple demonlord that I BUSTED MY YOU KNOW WHAT TO GET. Bought a ton of plat to sell gems and keys and vanities to build my collection. I mean I could not imagine someone walking around with one of those or flurry or even a crier. AND I DONT EVEN GOT A CRIER. Just out of respect for other collectors. That would be so humiliating knowing that I told some people how much I bought some of my items for. They would laugh at me. But it's because I love the pieces it's not about the price

I probably missed quite a few but here are the ones that came to my mind

Sets: winter wonderland set, yellow founder (warrior), red founder (warrior), steel commando sets (alloy, steel commando, metal cadet), heraldic sets (all kinds of heraldic sets for each class (crier, forerunner sets as well), demonlord sets (all kinds of demonlord sets for each class, sealord and guardian sets as well), deep sea set, poseidon set, flurry sets, soulhaunt set.

Weapons: frozen hope weapons (legendary (with particle effects and epic versions without effects), steel commando weapons (sword, staff, daggs), dwarven shields (red/yellow version and brown version), winterhowler sword, warlord weapons (staff, axe, daggs), wooden shield, cobalt maul, tidal sword, fire choppa, burning buckler, Imbued shield (gold and silver versions), stygan hoplite (blue and red versions), galen maul, jord staff, eloia bow, kraken skewer (all colors), hellshriek staff, blizzard staff, (staff that looks like a branch with leaf effects, don't remember name), umbral bow, talon bow.

1) Despite the name being "Forgotten Vanity" it's not an event about bringing back any vanities that already exist which is why it was funny seeing people suggest vanities.

2) Tabard set was actually gear from what I remember and not a vanity. But it's also discontinued so whether it qualifies or not is up in the air. Dark watch sword was discontinued but it was brought back in the first forgotten event as a vanity, so there's that.
