Hardcore lost event badges?

when a hardcore character dies he loses things and that includes event titles, aps, level and others even if he revives.
Event badges are also lost?
Not seasonal or top hardcore badges, I'm talking about badges obtained in top 10 players of events.

That seems like something that should be fixed since badges are a permanent award for your account. I don’t play hc but if i managed to obtain a badge on hc and died I would be a little upset if I lost it.
