Arcane deary portals

So I have a level one character that i am trying to get tiridin and paradise unlocked but i can't seem to get my arcane deary pet to spawn a portal even tho i been running low level maps trying to get one portal to spawn. Does arcane deary do not spawn portals anymore? I have ran maps in total may be a hour or so
Tyvm if you could give me reason why it does not work.

I heard portal spawns only after boss killed in ydra and above i.e. doesn't work on brakenrige bosses.
