Overall.

Is the event solo? Will dying in the labyrinth as a hc character result in permanent death?

It's a multiplayer event, although you can party with someone to reduce the number of players in the zone, or have another character leave while you're in it.

Hardcore dying is a death.

Looks like a well made event, camera movement involved, avoiding traps. One thing that you might be concerned of is warriors horn skill and mages shield skill as both give immunity frames meaning they can pass traps and not die possibly.

Traps do direct damage as a percentage of total health and ignore armor.

Yes but shield and horn skills give immunity for 2-3 seconds 0 dmg can be dealt by any sort of thing in the game. Planar arena spikes you can stand in them as a warrior if you time shield skill correctly. Idk, I haven't ran yet to test but wanted to point out that there might be a massive advantage to traps with these 2 skills.

Could Blackbeard hooks be added to the loot table? Seeing as how Maul of Ollerus and Kershal scepter are available

What about dmg reduction pets and elixirs? will it effect dmg taken?
