I mean Albion online has this system in their market where you give gold to auction to buy item for you while your gone

Oh hello auction, is that my item thats worth 50k listed for 40k? let me go on my alt and bid 60k so its now got a bid of 60k and people have to pay more for it as I bid on my own item.

No one is scared, bidding just has a major flaw where people can use alts to bid on their own items. You can even go on bidding websites like ebay for example and people use alt accounts to bid on their own item.
Even in this forums trader market people use alts to bid on their own items. I personally find it very arrogant if you actually believe that people are "Scared" of what you are suggesting because you believe that it hurts the merchants and hoarders when it doesn't. It actually helps them.
