this is because the dragon is up in the air.
its like the syrillax phases. u reduce some hp on the syrillax then it flies up. u cannot hit syrillax, when it is up in the sky. if u had applied DOT before it flew up, that DOT does damage on syrillax.
after some time, it comes down. u and ur pets can hit the dragon again.
